Nathalie Maufroy is a multidisciplinary Belgian artist, trained in scenography, with an eclectic background in scenic creation and live performance. Her practice now primarily focuses on visual art and video installation. However, she easily varies her mediums, using video, photography, graphic gesture, or sculpture interchangeably, with a humanistic approach linked to the living. She promotes experimentation in her creative process and recurrently questions the relationship to space and the environment. She also creates participatory works, in situ, urban, minimal, immersive, or monumental.
She produces various video installations that work with the material of the video projection itself, the body, natural elements, in dialogue with architecture, everyday objects, or specific sites. Her analog work, characterized by great simplicity, positions itself as a unique entity in the current mapping universe, offering a proposal that is both simple and singular, sensitive, and distinctive.

​Nathalie Maufroy est une artiste pluridisciplinaire belge, scénographe de formation, avec un parcours hétéroclite à travers la création scénique et le spectacle vivant. Sa pratique se tourne aujourd'hui essentiellement vers l'art visuel et l'installation vidéo. Elle varie cependant aisément les médiums, utilisant indifféremment la vidéo, la photographie, le geste graphique ou la sculpture, avec une approche humaniste en lien avec le vivant. Elle favorise l'expérimentation dans son processus de création et questionne de façon récurrente le rapport à l'espace et à l'environnement. Elle crée aussi des œuvres participatives, in situ, urbaines, minimales, immersives ou monumentales. Elle réalise différentes installations vidéo travaillant sur la matière de la projection vidéo elle-même, le corps, les éléments naturels, en dialogue avec l'architecture, les objets quotidiens ou des sites spécifiques. Son travail analogique, d'une grande simplicité, se positionne comme un ovni dans l'univers du mapping actuel, avec une force de proposition d'une grande simplicité, sensible et singulière.
